How to make Spicy Moi-Moi and Creamy Ogi

A Nigerian favorite, Moi-Moi (steamed bean pudding) and Ogi (fermented corn porridge) have been enjoyed for generations. Moi-Moi is packed with protein, while Ogi is smooth, comforting, and perfect for pairing!

Now, we’re adding a twist, Spicy Moi-Moi with Varo Jollof Sauce for extra bold flavor! Ready to upgrade your breakfast? Let’s cook!

Ingredients:
Moi-Moi:
▪ 1 Bottle Varo Jollof Sauce Medium
▪ 2 cups bean flour
▪ 1/2 cup chopped onions
▪ 1/2 cup vegetable oil
▪ 2 cups water
▪ 1 can tuna fish
▪ 3 hardboiled eggs
▪ Salt to taste

Ogi:
1. 1 cup Ogi powder
2. 1/4 cup cold water
3. 1 cup boiling water
4. 1 tbsp sugar
5. 1/3 cup evaporated milk

 

How to Make:

Moi-Moi Magic:
1. Soak & Whisk: Combine bean flour and water. Let it sit for 10 mins, then whisk for
2 mins till fluffy.
2. Flavour Fusion: Stir in Varo Jollof Sauce for a spicy kick, followed by onions and
oil for richness.
3. Tuna Twist: Fold in canned tuna for a protein punch.
4. Egg Embed: Grease a container, pour in the mix, and nestle in boiled eggs.
5. Steam Sensation: Cover with foil and steam for 45-60 mins until set.


Ogi Delight:
1. Smooth Start: Mix Ogi powder with a bit of water till smooth.
2. Thicken Up: Pour in boiling water, stirring until it thickens to your liking.
3. Sweet Finish: Swirl in sugar and milk for a creamy, dreamy texture.
4. Serve Up: Dish out your fluffy Moinmoin alongside a comforting bowl of Ogi for a
meal that's bursting with flavours and traditions. Perfect for spicing up any day!
